From Strategy to Excellence

Strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting are critical for effective Corporate Performance Management (CPM). Yet, many organizations struggle to come to grips with the challenge of effectively coordinating and managing these vital organizational processes across the various functional areas of sales, operations and finance.

In today’s competitive environment, finance professionals and business managers must work closer together than ever before in order to drive the success of their organizations. It is therefore imperative that in order to foster collaborative teamwork between finance and the rest of the business, there is a shared understanding of the strategy and the ultimate financial outcome of the  organization.

At the hub of effective strategic planning and CPM are the important processes of budgeting and forecasting. However, the  outcomes of these processes are dependent on how well they are linked to the strategic planning process and the robustness of the tools and techniques used. Finally, the benefits of an improved planning, budgeting and forecasting process must be supported by CPM systems that monitor, manage and report on organizational outcomes.

Successfully confronting these challenges require management tools and frameworks that deliver results. Leading management accounting thinking, tools and techniques today, are well advanced and have kept pace with the advance of technology and the e-commerce environment in which businesses operate. However, finance professionals as well as business managers must be skilled and competent in exploiting these tools and techniques for improving the financial and operational sustainability of their organizations.

This highly interactive 2-day Workshop/Seminar Programme will not only emphasize the importance of linking the processes but also demonstrate how it is implemented in organizations. Importantly, the facilitator/moderator will share with you and your team their invaluable insights and actionable advice to drive success using case studies and best practices.

The latest concepts of Big Data and Business Analytics will also be brought into the program with leading case studies being discussed.
